La Storia

Il coro LA RUPE nasce a Quincinetto nel 1952 ispirandosi al canto di matrice popolare e in particolar modo alla produzione del coro SAT di Trento. Dagli anni ’60 la direzione è curata dal maestro DANTE CONRERO, il quale arricchisce il repertorio classico di brani d’autore e di originali armonizzazioni che danno un nuovo volto al gruppo e ne affermano la peculiare linea interpretativa.
Tale cammino viene proseguito con successo anche dal maestro LUIGI VALENZANO, alla direzione dal 1973 al 1981.
Ulteriore balzo in avanti è compiuto dal maestro EDY MUSSATTI, dal 1982 a Luglio 2008 alla guida di un assieme che, nella formazione attuale, conta 25 elementi maschili circa. Attraverso un’accurata rivalutazione della produzione locale e un’attenzione particolare alle realizzazioni di autori contemporanei, il coro ha, infatti, ravvivato e ampliato il repertorio, ottenendo favorevoli consensi da parte di pubblico e critica.

A ciò si aggiungono i prestigiosi successi ottenuti nell’ambito dei concorsi. Il PALMARES del coro conta infatti otto vittorie nazionali (Genova, Stresa, Vittorio Veneto, Adria, Ivrea, Biella, Saint Vincent ) alle quali si sono aggiunte le ambite affermazioni al 35° concorso internazionale di Montreux (1999), con il secondo posto nella classifica generale e il primo nella categoria OCTM per cori virili, e, nel mese di novembre 2000, il terzo posto al 1° “Concorso Europeo di canto popolare” di Bolzano.
Nel 2003 il coro partecipa ad una prima rappresentazione mondiale cantando in scena nell’opera Daphnis et Chloè di Jean-Jaques Rousseau, opera ricostruita dal maestro Willy Merz e rappresentata al 2° Festival Internazionale di Sarre (Ao).
L’ultimo progetto in ordine di tempo è l’incisione e, nel corso del 2005, la presentazione a livello nazionale, dell’opera per coro e orchestra Pellegrino dell’assoluto, undici Inni di Padre Maria Turoldo su musiche del Maestro Domenico Clapasson.
Da Settembre 2008 la direzione del corro passa in mano a DOMENICO MONETTA, discepolo del Maestro Mussatti e componente del Coro la Rupe nella sezione dei Baritoni dal 1988.

Tra le più recenti produzioni de LA RUPE vanno ricordate:

• 1994: Emozioni in coro, canzoni tradizionali e popolari
• 1997: l’album Prende l’anima il tuo canto, raccolta delle partiture dei canti più significativi del maestro Conrero
• 1999: Missa Regina Pacis e la Mass of Shepherds, del musicista canavesano Pietro Alessandro Yon, organista settimese che raggiunse il successo nella città di New York nei primi decenni del secolo scorso.
• 2003 : La luce del giorno, inciso in occasione dei festeggiamenti per il cinquantennale dalla fondazione.
• 2010 : Prende l’anima il tuo canto, dedicato interamente ai brani scritti e armonizzati dal Maestro Dante Conrero. Inciso in occasione del decennale della morte del Compositore.

Le choeur La Rupe naît à Quincinetto dans le 1952 en s’inspirant au chant de matrice populaire et en particulière manière à la production du choeur SAT de Trento. Depuis les années '60 la direction est soignée par le maître DANTE CONRERO qui enrichit le répertoire classique des morceaux d'auteur et originales d'harmonisations que donnent un nouveau visage au groupe et ils en affirment la ligne interprétative caractéristique.
Tel chemin est continué avec succès aussi par le maître LUIGI VALENZANO, à la direction du 1973 au 1981.
Un autre bond en avant il est accompli par le maître EDY MUSSATTI, du 1982 à la guide d'un ensemble que, dans la formation actuelle, compte 25 éléments masculins environ. À travers une soignée réévaluation de la production locale et une attention spéciale aux réalisations d'auteurs contemporains, le choeur a, en effet, ravivé et agrandi le répertoire en obtenant favorables approbations de la part du public et de la critique.

À ceci ils s'ajoutent les succès prestigieux obtenus dans le cadre des concours. Le PALMARES du choeur compte, en effet, huit victoires nationales (Genova, Stresa, Vittorio Veneto, Adria, Ivrea, Bielle, Saint Vincent) à les quelles sont ajoutées ambitionnées affirmations au 35° concours international de Montreux, (1999), avec la deuxième place en le classement général et la première dans la catégorie OCTM pour choeurs virils, et, dans le mois de novembre 2000, la troisième place au 1° "Concours Européen de chant populaire" de Bolzano.
En 2003 le choeur participe à une première représentation mondiale en chantant en scène dans l'oeuvre Daphnis et Chloè de Jean-Jaques Rousseau, oeuvre reconstruite par le maître Willy Merz et représentée au 2° Festival International de Sarre (Ao).
Le dernier je projet en ordre de temps c'est la gravure et, au cours du 2005, la présentation au niveau national, de l'oeuvre pour choeur et orchestre Pèlerin de l'absolu, onze Hymnes de Père Maria Turoldo sur musiques du Maître Domenico Clapasson.

Entre les productions les plus récentes de La Rupe doivent être rappelées:

• 1999: Missa Regina Pacis e la Mass of Shepherds, du musicien canavesano Pietro Alessandro Yon, organiste originaire de Settimo Vittone qu'il atteignit le succès dans la ville de New York dans les premières décennies du siècle dernier.
• 2003 : La luce del giorno, gravée à l'occasion des célébrations pour le cinquantennale de la fondation.
• 2010 : "Prende l'anima il tuo canto", gravé à l'occasion de la célébration pour l'anniversaire de la mort il y dix ans du maitre Dante Conrero

The choir was founded in 1952 in Quincinetto – (TO) - Italy, inspired by the popular-matrix songs and, in particular, by the style of the SAT choir from Trento, the forerunner of this style of “a cappella” singing for male choirs.
In the Sixties the choir was led by Dante Conrero, who enriched it with a classical repertoire and original harmonisations that gave the group a new image, enhancing its interpretative style.
From 1973 to 1981, Director Luigi Valenzano took over and continued to lead the Choir on an increasingly gratifying path to success.
Current director Edy Mussatti has been the leader since 1982, honing and improving the musical qualities of the now 25-strong group.
Through an accurate re-evaluation of the local production and with increasing attention being paid to the works of contemporary authors, the choir has in fact, revived and widely extended its repertoire.
This helped it gain prominent, favourable comments and admiration from both public and critics, establishing a positive position for itself in the choral community.

Added to these prestigious successes are the various contests won. In the last few years the choir was awarded eight outright first places in competitions in Italy: Genoa, Stresa, Vittorio Veneto, Adria, Ivrea, Biella and Saint Vincent. It was placed second in the general classification at the 35th International Choral Contest in Montreux, Switzerland (1999) and first in the OCTM category for male choirs. In November 2000, it achieved third place in the 1st Folk songs European Competition in Bolzano.
In 2003 the choir participated in it’s first World Representation – singing on stage in the Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s work “Daphnis et Chloè”, an opera reconstructed by director Willy Merz and performed at the 2nd Sarre International Festival (Aosta).
The latest project — in 2005 – was the recording and presentation at national level, of the opera for choir and orchestra “Pellegrino dell’Assoluto” (Pilgrim of the Absolute), eleven Hymns by Father Maria Turoldo with music by Maestro Domenico Clapasson.

Among the Choir’s most recent productions, the following are noteworthy:

• 1994: “Emozioni in coro” (Choral emotions), popular and traditional songs.
• 1997: the book “Prende l’anima il tuo canto” (The soul is lifted by your song), which represents a collection of the most beautiful songs by the Choir’s first conductor, Dante Conrero.
• 1999: “Messa” (Missa) Regina Pacis (In honour of St. Vincent Ferrer) and “Messa dei Pastori” “Mass of Shepherds”, two Holy Masses composed by the Canavese organist and musician, Pietro Alessandro Yon, born in Settimo Vittone (Piedmont, Northern Italy) and who attained success in New York City during the first decades of last century.
• 2003 : “La luce del giorno” (The light of day): this record was produced on the occasion of the Choir’s Fiftieth anniversary.
• 2010 : "Prende l'anima il tuo canto", this record was produced on the occasion of  Dante Conrero anniversary of the death (ten years)

Der Chor LA RUPE ist 1952 in Quincinetto geboren, indem er sich ans Volkslied und besonders an das Schaffen des Trienter Chors SAT anlehnte.
Seit den Sechzigerjahren wird die Leitung von Maestro DANTE CONRERO besorgt, der das klassische Repertoire um Autorenstücke und originelle Harmonisierungen bereichert, die der Gruppe ein neues Gesicht geben und deren eigenartige Interpretationslinie durchsetzen..
Dieser Weg wird erfolgreich auch von Maestro LUIGI VALENZANO fortgesetzt, der seit 1973 bis 1981 leitete.
Ein weiterer Fortschritt ist von Maestro EDY MUSSATTI vorgenommen, seit 1982 auf der Leitung einer Gruppe die in der derzeitigen Aufstellung ungefähr 25 Elemente zählt. Durch eine sorgfältige Aufwertung des örtlichen Schaffens und eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit auf die Werke von zeitgenössischen Autoren, hat der Chor nämlich das Repertoire aufgefrischt und erweitert, indem er günstigen Anklang beim Publikum und der Kritik gefunden hat.

Dazu kommen die bedeutenden Erfolge erzielt im Rahmen der Wettbewerbe. Die Erfolge des Chors zählen nämlich acht Nationalgewinne (Genua, Stresa, Vittorio Veneto, Adria, Ivrea, Biella, Saint Vincent ), wozu kommen die begehrten Erfolge beim 35. internationalen Wettbewerb von Montreux (1999) mit der zweiten Position der Gesamtwertung und der ersten in der Klasse OCTM für Männerstimmen und im November 2000 der dritten Stelle beim 1. “Europäischen Volksliedwettbewerb” in Bozen.
Im Jahre 2003 nahm der Chor an einer Welturaufführung teil, indem er auf der Bühne in der Oper Daphnis et Chloè von Jean-Jaques Rousseau sang, Oper rekonstruiert von Maestro Willy Merz und beim 2. Internationalen Festival von Sarre (Ao) aufgeführt.
Das letzte Projekt in Zeitordnung ist die Aufnahme und, im Laufe von 2005, die Nationalvorstellung der Oper für Chor und Orchester Pellegrino dell’assoluto, elf Hymnen von Pater Maria Turoldo auf Musiken von Maestro Domenico Clapasson.

Unter dem letzten Schaffen von LA RUPE sind zu erinnern:

• 1997: das Album Prende l’anima il tuo canto, Sammlung der Partituren der bedeutendsten Lieder von Maestro Conrero
• 1999: Missa Regina Pacis und die Mass of Shepherds vom Musiker Pietro Alessandro Yon, örtlichem Organist, der den Erfolg in New York über den ersten Dezennien des letzten Jahrhunderts erreichte.
• 2003 : La luce del giorno, aufgenommen anläßlich der Fünfzigjahrfeier von der Gründung.
• 2010 : "Prende l'anima il tuo canto", Ritzt anläßlich der Zehnjahrfeier vom Tod des Komponisten ein.
